Letter: Charity wouldn’t pick up donation
Monday, Jan. 11, 1999 | 10:12 a.m.
A week later I called them as a reminder -- they again said they would get to me. A week later I again called them and was informed that they did not make pickups of this type. This information came from the head honcho's office to which I was referred.
With no transportation available for me to deliver the donation I contemplated tossing the birds. I tried one time to contact Catholic Services on Main Street. An hour later a person was at my door to take delivery.
I can only surmise that there were no meals being served at the Salvation Army or they couldn't care less!
