Wolves to sign Brent Gretzky
Brent Gretzky, brother of hockey great Wayne Gretzky and a former Las Vegas Thunder player, is expected to sign today with the IHL's Chicago Wolves for a three-game tryout.
Brent Gretzky, 29, was called up Monday from the United Hockey League's Asheville Smoke, where he leads that team with 62 points, including 26 goals.
The 5-foot-11, 185-pound center was en route to Long Beach, Calif., on Monday to join the Wolves for games tonight and Wednesday against the Ice Dogs.
