StumbleWAC honors Rebel’s Froehlich

UNLV's Linda Froehlich was named the Western Athletic Conference women's basketball player of the week for the Mountain Division Monday.
Froehlich, a 6-2 freshman guard/forward from Oldendorf, Germany, led UNLV to a 2-0 record last week with a 59-53 win over UNR and a 70-51 victory over New Orleans to help the Lady Rebels improve their overall record to 8-3.
For the week, Froehlich averaged 31.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, shot .609 (28-of-46) from the field and .375 (3-of-8) from three-point range. She also recorded seven assists and six steals.
