Catherine Aliano, 69, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. She was born Aug. 12, 1929, in Glassport, Pa. A resident for 29 years, she was a retired grocery store meat wrapper and a member of United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 711.
She is survived by one son, Joe Aliano of Las Vegas; two daughters Linda Ciaffone of Eastpointe, Mich., and Kathie Hornbrook of Henderson; three sisters, Helen Bazzana of Allen Park, Mich., Ethel Holliday of Greensburg, Pa., and Theresa Blatney of Romulus, Mich.; one brother, Owen Gribschaw of Glassport; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. A private burial will follow.
Harry Joseph Aseltine Jr.
Harry Joseph Aseltine Jr., 66, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 8, 1932, in Stoughton, Mass. A resident for 12 years, he was a poker dealer at Bally's hotel-casino and a Korean War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his mother, Clara M. Aseltine of Las Vegas.

Robert Avila
Robert Avila, 46, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born June 18, 1952, in Fresno, Calif. A resident for 17 years, he was disabled, a gas station employee and a Vietnam War Army veteran.
He is survived by one son, Erik R. Avila, and one daughter, Doreen Avila, both of Las Vegas; his mother, Dolores Gill, his father, Marcus Avila, and one sister, Norma Aguilar, all of Fresno; one brother, Danny Avila of San Fernando, Calif.; and one grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Charles Edmund Barker
Charles Edmund Barker, 64, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Arizona. He was born Jan. 5, 1934, in Tennessee. A resident for one year, he was a retired farmer.
He is survived by one sister, Lena Mae Hamrick of Bowling Green, Ky.

Collin C. Cernicky
Collin C. Cernicky, 67, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born July 20, 1931, in California. A resident for 19 years, he was a retired from the Air Force and a Korean War and Vietnam War veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Dixie Cernicky; his father, Frank Cernicky; and his mother, Sarah Stagno.

Jeannette Daniels
Jeannette Daniels, 66, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 28, 1932, in Salisbury, N.C. A resident for three years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Lofton Sr.; three daughters, Terrye Powell of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Maryon Daniels Harris and Crystal Dixon, both of Buffalo, N.Y.; two sons, Daniel Lofton Jr. of Henderson and Frank J. Arnold Jr. of Buffalo; one sister, Rosa Lee Earl, and one brother, James Maryon, both of Buffalo; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.
Gertrude Graybill
Gertrude Graybill, 83, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 26, 1915, in Lakewood, N.J. A resident for 34 years, she was a retired hotel cashier.
She is survived by one son, Thomas Knapp of Las Vegas; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Julia A. Haberkern
Julia A. Haberkern, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 15, 1918, in Lapeer, Mich. A resident for 37 years, she was a retired government secretary, a member of the Bernina Sewing Club, Senior Friends Association and the St. Patrick Guild of St. Viator Catholic Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Scavetta of Las Vegas and Sandy Brown of Yuma, Ariz.; one brother, Arthur Shinske of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Thelma MacQuarrie Lenfest LaVoie
Thelma MacQuarrie Lenfest LaVoie, 77, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. She was born March 14, 1921, in Massachusetts. A resident for 38 years, she was a medical technician.
She is survived by two sons, Noel Robert LaVoie of Idaho and Dr. Allan LaVoie of West Virginia; two daughters, Sheila Greenwalt and Kathleen LaVoie, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Ann Bailey of Georgia; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Francis 'Terry' Lee
Francis "Terry" Lee, 90, of Las Vegas died Dec. 29 in a local hospital. He was born April 1, 1908, in Panaca. A lifelong resident, he was a chemical technician for a fuel manufacturer.
He is survived by eight nieces and nephews.

Kirk C. Loveless
Kirk C. Loveless, 41, of Henderson died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 14, 1957, in Encino, Calif. A resident for five years, he was a foreman for a publishing company.
He is survived by one son, Kirk Loveless Jr., his mother, Helen Igual DeMontijo, and one sister, Sheryl Munoz, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled one half hour prior to 4 p.m. services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Michael J. Maze
Michael J. Maze, 39, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 1, 1959, in Wheeling, W.Va., A resident for 36 years, he owned and operated an electric sign company, was a member of Oasis Masonic Lodge 41, Zelzah Shrine Temple and Rebel Golf Foundation and a former board member of the Juvenile Diabetes Association and Help of Southern Nevada.
He is survived by his parents, Kay and W. Ben Maze, and one brother, Ben B. Maze, all of Las Vegas.

Robert O'Shaughnessy, 75, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born June 29, 1923, in Glasgow, Scotland. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired glass company owner-operator and a World War II Royal Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Janette; five daughters, Linda Suga of Boston, Helen McKnight of Valley Stream, N.Y., Maria Damato of Holbrook, N.Y., Lorrain Carter of Las Vegas and Robin O'Shaughnessy of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; one son, Michael O'Shaughnessy of Northern, Calif.; one sister, Helen O'Shaughnessy of San Francisco; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. services today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive.

Ella McVey Phipps
Ella McVey Phipps, 90, of Barstow, Calif., died Sunday in Barstow. She was born Aug. 2, 1908, in West Virginia. A former Las Vegas resident for 10 years until 1997, she was a church pianist in West Virginia.
She is survived by one daughter, Mavis N. Price of Barstow.
Visitation is scheduled noon-5 p.m. Thursday and 9-10:30 a.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Pamela Jean Rivera, 42, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. She was born Feb. 6, 1956, in Germany. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Joe; one son, Jo Jo Rivera, and one daughter, Jenica Rivera, both of Henderson.

Efren 'Frank' Salcido
Efren "Frank" Salcido, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born July 9, 1922, in Terminal Island, Calif. A resident for eight years, he was a retired longshoreman foreman in the shipping industry, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Us Too cancer support group, Sun City Golf Club, Sun City Bowling League and Recycled Teenage Bowling Club and a retired member of the International Longshoreman's and Warehouseman's Local 94.
He is survived by his wife, Connie; three daughters, Evelyn Hamel of San Pedro, Calif., Carole Kirkwood of Torrance, Calif., and Connie J. Salcido of Lomito, Calif.; one son, Frank Salcido of Westchester, Calif.; five brothers, Mike Salcido of San Pedro, Tony Salcido and Henry Salcido, both of Long Beach, Calif., Victor Salcido of Carson, Calif., and Ned Salcido of Lakewood, Calif.; six sisters, Elena Mercado of Mission Viejo, Calif., Emma Lopez of San Gabriel, Calif., Ester Rivera of Carson, Charlotte Pacheco of Harbor City, Calif., and Sofia Fematt and Barbara Mendoza, both of Wilmington, Calif.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Lyla Steinhilber, 63, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born July 21, 1935, in Carbon County, Utah. A resident for 12 years, she was an accountant for a manufacturing firm.
She is survived by her husband, Theodore; and two sons, Rudi Steinhilber and Diemar Steinhilber, both of Orange County, Calif.; five brothers and one sister.

Donald H. Suhn
Donald H. Suhn, 73, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born March 1, 1925, in Ree Heights, S.D. A resident for nine years, he was a retired businessman and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Eloise; one son, Steve Suhn of Seattle; one daughter, Nancy Reichert of Phoenix; one sister, Catherine Frank of Boulder, Colo.; and two grandchildren.

John B. Walker, 66, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born March 16, 1932, in Corpus Christi, Texas. A resident for 36 years, he was a retired government electrician, a World War II Marine Corps veteran, a member of Masonic Lodge 32, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 357 and Scottish Rite 32.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; four sons, Kenneth Walker of Nashville, Tenn., David Walker and John Earl Walker, both of Las Vegas, and Bruce Walker; and four grandchildren.

Romley O. Webb, 69, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born June 7, 1929, in Minnesota. A resident for many years, he was a corrosion technician for a natural gas company and a veteran of the National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; one son, Michael Webb of Henderson; and one sister, Violet Mason of Nebraska.

Ray Youngblood
Ray Youngblood, 49, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 27, 1949, in Shreveport, La. A resident for 16 years, he was a hotel floorman and a Vietnam War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Naty; one daughter, Dana Morris of Salt Lake City; one son, Greg Youngblood of Shreveport; and one sister, Joyce Jackson of Spencer, Md.
