Brief: Seven Las Vegas child care centers sold

Farmington Hills, Mich.-based Childtime will retain all of the 130 teachers at the Las Vegas facilities, said Harold Lewis, chief executive officer of CLC. He said the company reviews rates annually, but there are no plans to increase fees at this time.
Children's Social and Learning Centers of Las Vegas operates child-care centers called Captain Kidd's, Country Cousins, Teddy Bear Junction, Kids' Connection, Kids' Korral, Little Wranglers and The Pumpkin Shell, serving a total of about 1,000 children in the Las Vegas area.
CLC managers were meeting with Las Vegas directors today to explain company policies. An area manager is expected to be named to oversee Las Vegas' operations.
CLC has centers in 19 states and Washington D.C. with an enrollment of about 27,000 children. The acquisition announced today is the 30-year-old company's first foray into Nevada.
