Brief: LV lumberyard sold

Desert Lumber, with $70 million in annual revenues, will become part of Crown Pacific's professional builder sales division. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 1999.
Desert Lumber was established in 1989. It provides wood products to residential and commercial contractors and employs 60 people in Las Vegas and 14 in Reno.
Crown Pacific also recently acquired a lumber contractor in Phoenix.
