LV attorney sues airline for assault

Susan Frankewich, an attorney with Cohen, Johnson, Day & Clayson in Las Vegas, seeks unspecified damages in the suit filed in Clark County District Court.
The suit accuses Reno Air personnel of assault, battery, defamation and infliction of humiliation and emotional distress.
The suit says Frankewich held a ticket for a flight from Reno to Las Vegas on Feb. 9. After inquiring about departing on an earlier flight, Frankewich boarded a plane and was seated. Her place was taken when another passenger discovered his seat was broken and couldn't be used.
When airline personnel removed her from the plane, Frankewich said an employee grabbed her elbow and aggravated an earlier injury.
Reno Air declined comment.
