Gaming supplier’s profit increases

Quarterly revenue was $13.8 million, up $1.1 million from the prior-year quarter.
The 1997 fourth quarter results included $21 million in special restructuring charges.
For all of 1998, the gaming industry supplier earned $2.5 million or 14 cents per share compared to a loss a year earlier of $39.7 million $2.20 per share.
Annual revenue of $53.2 million was down 2 percent from 1997.
Casino Data in recent weeks has shaken up its management and shopped itself around as a potential merger partner.
"We are pleased that we returned the company to profitability in 1998. Each segment of our business was important," Chairman and Chief Executive Steve Weiss said in a statement.
