A Native Art benefit is being held 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Community College of Southern Nevada, 700 College Drive, Henderson.

Safety workshop planned in two parts
A two-part hunter safety workshop will be 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Silver Springs Recreation Center, 1951 Silver Springs Parkway.
It includes information pertaining to Nevada hunting regulations, conservation, and "hunting responsibility" guidelines. Participants must be 12 or older and will receive a hunter's safety card upon workshop completion.

Boulder City to dedicate complex
The Veterans Memorial ballfields in Boulder City will be dedicated at a 10 a.m. ceremony Saturday across from the Veterans Cemetery.
The keynote speaker will be Las Vegas City Councilman Larry Brown, who is a spokesman and former pitcher for the Las Vegas Stars.
The fields, which will be home to youth baseball, soccer and flag football games, are at Buchanan Boulevard and Georgia Avenue.
City spokesman Roy Theiss said the city will ultimately build three additional ballfields at that location.
Sports club, hospital team up for tests
The Sports Club of Las Vegas and St. Rose Dominican Hospital will offer health screenings Saturday 9-11 a.m. at 2100 Olympic Ave.
Experts will test for cardiac risk, body fat, hearing, skin cancer, vision and cholesterol. Call 454-6000, ext. 215.
Seminar scheduled on query letters
A seminar on writing query letters that will net writing assignments will be offered 1:30-3:30 p.m. Saturday at Community College of Southern Nevada, 6375 W. Charleston Blvd.

Class will deal with earned income credit
A free class called "The Government May Owe You Money" will be offered at 6 p.m. Tuesday by the University Medical Center's Family to Family Connection Center, 1815 W. Charleston Blvd.
Bart Rowe, BCR Investments Inc., a tax expert, will explain how parents can earn up to $3,761 with the earned income credit and will discuss hidden tax breaks. Call 383-7058.
Jewish center plans trip to Pahrump
The Jewish Community Center is offering a bus tour to the Pahrump Winery 9 a.m. Sunday, leaving from the center, 3909 S. Maryland Parkway.

Robbo to perform at Hebrew Academy
Robbo will perform Sunday at the Hebrew Academy Auditorium, 9700 W. Hillpointe Road.
A 2 p.m. show will be geared for children, featuring more participation, while the 7 p.m. show for adults offers a Yiddish flavor.
