But on Monday, Las Vegas was missing from a list of cities where Nordstrom intends to open new stores this year.
Those cities are Norfolk, Va.; Columbia, Md.; Providence, R.I.; and Mission Viejo, Calif.
The expansions were noted as Nordstrom reported an 11 percent increase in earnings in 1998 to $207 million. Sales of $5 billion were up 3.6 percent.
