Letter: NTS’ Kiwi reactor never left ground

The reactor was code-named Kiwi, because it could not fly and was never expected to. You can bet Kiwi never sprouted wings, but is still sitting where it always has. It was an imposing sight when I was there.
They knew exactly where the spent fuel was then. Weren't they using carbon rods for dampers in those days?
