Time changed for game against SMU
Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999 | 11:10 a.m.
If you're planning on attending Saturday's Southern Methodist-UNLV basketball game at the Thomas & Mack Center, plan on getting there an hour earlier than scheduled.
ESPN has pushed the tipoff up to noon instead of 1 p.m. The game, which will be aired on ESPN2 (Cox Cable 31), had always been planned for noon, but the WAC, UNLV and SMU had been told it was 1 p.m. and printed matter distributed by all three entities had the game listed as a 1 p.m. start.
UNLV also announced that two receptions that had been planned for 11 a.m. Saturday had been moved because of the new start time for the basketball game. Both the UNLV Foundation brunch and the Legislative brunch will now begin at 10:30 a.m.
Also, the Senior Rebel Club tour has been pushed back to 10 a.m. Saturday instead of 11 while the 11 a.m. student tailgate will remain at its scheduled time.
