The Bonanza High School girls soccer team secured a spot in this year's 4A Southern Zone championship on Wednesday, defeating Valley 3-0 at Durango to reach the title game for the second time in three years.
After the two teams played to a scoreless draw in the first half, the Bengals (17-2-0) got goals from Alana Graham and Krista Vespe early in the second half to take control.
Alyce Perry added a tally late in the contest.
"In the second half we made some changes and scored two goals in six minutes," Bonanza coach Debbie Antonio-Hunt said. "What else can you ask?"
Bonanza will meet Bishop Gorman (16-6-1) in the championship at noon on Saturday at Durango.
The Bengals took both regular season meetings against the Gaels.
Valley finishes the season at 10-6-6.
