Fishing report — February 17, 1999

LAKE MEAD: Even though the weather has improved, it hasn't translated into improved fishing because the lake's water temperature remains well below the desired 60-degree level.
Because of the cold water temperature, largemouth and striped bass have taken to deep water and have little interest in feeding. Schools of stripers are being seen on fish finders at depths of 70 to 130 feet.
Rainbow Trout fishing has been good following weekly plants by the Nevada Division of Wildlife.
