Brief: Seed firm’s loss grows

The Henderson seed company said losses are typical in the second quarter due to the seasonal nature of its business.
AgriBioTech, which has been buying seed companies as it tries to consolidate the industry, said sales of $75.9 million in the latest quarter were up from $23.4 million.
