Escrow closed Friday on the $2.5-million sale of the closed resort to Capital Salvage, according to records filed in the Washoe County Recorder's Office.
But details on the buyer, its location and background could not be obtained from various data-base searches.
Reno businessmen Peter Wilday and Steve Urie, who fronted the $100,000 deposit for the Holiday on Jan. 25 on behalf of the buyer, couldn't be reached for comment.
Wilday was the lone bidder on the 194-room Holiday at an auction on Jan. 22. At the time, he said he was representing a Los Angeles developer.
The Holiday, which closed Nov. 1 after 29 years of ownership by Al Ferrari of Cordelia, Calif., and Leonard McIntosh of Hailey, Idaho, is one of six downtown Reno casinos to shut down over the last four years.
