Visitor volume declines

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority said that for all of 1998, Laughlin visitor volume declined 5 percent for the gambling town south of Las Vegas on the Colorado River.
Despite the shortfall in the visitor count, the LVCVA said gross gaming revenue of $37.4 million in December was up 8.5 percent.
