Letter: Nation’s defenders deserve praise

I can't imagine surviving such conditions. I've been a feminist all my life, born free and raised equal.
It's so intrinsic to me, I didn't feel I had to burn bras as a statement during the hippie days. I live as I please.
But I'm incredibly grateful to the people who defend this country, and have kept it safe and free, so that I can live as I please.
To the heroes who didn't take any draft-dodging loopholes, thank you!
