Margaret "Tucky" Brandin, 84, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 2, 1915, in Hamilton, Ontario. A resident for 45 years, she was a retired owner-operator of Desert Poultry and Seafood Co., active in the Las Vegas Businesswoman's Association and Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Escoffier's Society and toured the United States for five years performing from Vaudeville to dancing in several MGM musicals in the late 1930s.
She is survived by her husband, Leif; three sons, Dan Ketchum of Simi Valley, Calif., and James Brandin and Eric Brandin, both of Las Vegas; two daughters, Patricia Adler of San Clemente, Calif., and Barbara Serapion of Peachtree, Ga.; one sister, Dorothy Jones of Solana Beach, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Vivian Elizabeth Brill
Vivian Elizabeth Brill, 76, of Las Vegas died Feb. 2 in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 7, 1923, in California. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired Army master sergeant and a World War II and Korean War Army and Navy veteran for a total of 23 years.
She is survived by one sister, Dona Jenson of Millbrae, Calif.; one brother, Earl Naas of Redwood City, Calif.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Burial was in California. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Clara Mae Compton
Clara Mae Compton, 70, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 16, 1928, in Akron, Ohio. A resident for 39 years, she was a retired medical office manager and a member of Women of the Moose.
She is survived by two daughters, Judith Herman and Dawn Daily, and one son, Terry Compton, all of Las Vegas; three brothers, Morris Fisher, Harry Fisher and Carl Fisher, all of Ohio; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
Robert Gibbs
Robert Gibbs, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 21, 1913, in Phillipsburg, N.J. A resident for 13 years, he retired as a manager from General Motors after 34 years, a member of the Shriners and a 33rd Degree Mason.
He is survived by one daughter, Juliana J. DiCrescenzo of Roswell, Ga.; one son, Robert N. Gibbs of Green Oak, Ill.; one sister, Ruth Squibb, and one brother, Edward Gibbs, both of Trenton, N.J.; and two grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Milo W. 'Mike' Hicks Sr.
Milo W. "Mike" Hicks Sr., 69, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born July 28, 1929, in Minnesota. A resident for 42 years, he was a carpet layer and a member of the Elks 1468 and 2353.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey; two sons, Milo W. Hicks Jr. and Dennis J. Hicks, both of Las Vegas; two daughters, Judy Dunning of Missouri and Dianne Bruso of Texas; two sisters, Alnora Peterson of Minnesota and Alice Fleischfresser; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Bryan Vinson Higham
Bryan Vinson Higham, 47, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Riverside, Calif. He was born June 20, 1951, in Inglewood, Calif. A resident for four years, he was a truck driver for a heavy construction company.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; three daughters, Clo-anna Stephens, Diana Burkhart and Debra Marie Higham; his parents, Robert Allen and Wanda Elizabeth Higham; one brother, Bruce Higham; one sister, Debra Rae Higham; and five grandchildren.
Services will be noon Saturday in the Calvary Chapel of Spring Valley, 7175 W. Oquendo Road. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Herman R. Hoge
Herman R. Hoge, 75, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 21, 1923, in Fond Du Lac, Wis. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired tool designer for an engineering company, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca H.; one daughter, Cindy Onken of Las Vegas; two sons, Kurt Hoge of Oshkosh, Wis., and Marc Hechter of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 6-9 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Jones.
The family suggests donations to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 28369, Las Vegas, NV 89126.
Freddie L. Hopkins
Freddie L. Hopkins, 81, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 9, 1917, in Tallulah, La. A resident for 47 years, he was a retired casino porter.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in True Love Missionary Baptist Church, 1941 N. H St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
Albert E. Jones
Albert E. Jones, 84, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 10, 1914, in Moosejaw, Saskatchewan. A resident for three years, he was a retired electrician, a winter resident for more than 20 years and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 697 for more than 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Anne W.; one son, Terry B. Jones, and one daughter, Sharon A. Pickle, both of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. Friday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
Joseph Clarence Larson
Joseph Clarence Larson, 83, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. He was born Sept. 25, 1915, in North Dakota. A resident for 60 years, he was a dealer in the gaming industry.
He is survived by one brother, Milo Larson; and two sisters, Doris Olmstead and Letty Gudal.

Ed Linaker
Ed Linaker, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 24, 1925, in Beatrice, Neb. A resident for eight years, he was a retired captain of a fire department, a World War II Marine Corps veteran and a member of the Elks.
He is survived by his wife, Bette; three daughters, Bette Mueting of Orange County, Calif., Ruth Nesbitt of Lawndale, Calif., and Christie Parsley of Wasilla, Alaska; four sons, Jim Linaker of Lawndale, John Mahon of San Diego, Brian Mahon of Long Beach, Calif., and Gordon Mahon of Manhattan Beach, Calif.; one sister, Edwardine Bishop of Longview, Texas; two brothers, Arthur Linaker of Temecula, Calif., and Richard Linaker of Minneapolis; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Ethel Mary Lindquist
Ethel Mary Lindquist, 86, of Henderson died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 28, 1912, in Salem, Mass. A resident for 16 years, she was a retired retail clerk for A&P in Bradenton, Fla.
She is survived by one daughter, Lois Allred of Henderson; one son, Robert Lindquist of Las Vegas; one sister, Florence Underwood of Maui, Hawaii; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

James Mason
James Mason, 63, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 21, 1935, in Shreveport, La. A resident for 58 years, he was a presser at a dry cleaning establishment.
He is survived by his wife, Mateal; four sons, Larry Winslow and Robert Nash, both of Las Vegas, and Darryl Mason and James Mason Jr., both of Oakland, Calif.; six daughters, Renaja Gaston of Germany, Arlene Mason, Michelle Mason and Judy Mason, all of Oakland, and Loretta Sutton and Sandra Johnson, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Jerald J. Mason I, and two sisters, Mae V. Strong and Mary E. Jordan, all of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon-8 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Victory Baptist Church, 500 W. Monroe Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Harley J. Nosker
Harley J. Nosker, 80, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. He was born Oct. 29, 1918, in Iroquois, Ill. A resident for 22 years, he was an insurance salesman and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Della; three sons, Harley of Florida and Gerald and Michael, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Max Nosker of Florida; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Robert E. Strott Jr.
Robert E. Strott Jr., 66, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 4, 1933, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 11 years, he was a salesman of construction equipment and an Army veteran.
He is survived by one son, Robert Earl Strott III; two daughters, Michelle Marie Strott and Cheryl Ann Amato; two sisters, Laila Conlin and Ellen Grucan; and three grandchildren.

Dezjanea Edna Taylor
Dezjanea Edna Taylor, 2, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 18, 1996, in Las Vegas.
She is survived by her mother, Shonea Greene, her father, Landtreon Taylor, one sister, Shatavea Taylor, two brothers, Devian Greene and Tevian Greene, four aunts, Katharine Waddell, Jean Greene, Arkedra Taylor and LaQuanna Patterson, and three uncles, Antonio D. Greene, Glenn Taylor and Norman Harrell, all of Las Vegas; many other relatives and friends; and her grandparents, Andre and Katherine Clark, and Gene Greene.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, 1025 Balzar Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Eva Williams
Eva Williams, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born April 12, 1923, in Athens, Ala. A resident for 49 years, she was a retired domestic worker in private homes and a member of the Church Ushers Board at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by one sister, Magnolia Swanson, and one brother, Roosevelt Evans, both of Las Vegas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 1189 W. Hassell Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
