The girl's mother, Shonea Green, 20, was rebooked Saturday into the North Las Vegas Detention Center on a murder charge, Sgt. Michael Judd said.
Police found the girl, Dezjanea Taylor, about 4:30 p.m. Thursday after responding to a possible child abuse case.
The girl was admitted to University Medical Center in critical condition with second- and third-degree burns to her waist, legs and feet. She died on Saturday.
Investigators accused Green of immersing the girl in standing, scalding water as punishment. Green was arrested Thursday and charged with felony child abuse and substantial bodily harm.
Her three other children were taken into protective custody.
