Brief: Suit filed after chips not cashed

Michael J. Russo, Las Vegas, filed suit in Clark County District Court seeking a judgment in excess of $10,000 from Horseshoe Club Operating Co., which operates the downtown casino.
In his suit, Russo said he attempted to cash in 14 $5,000 casino chips -- called "chocolate chips" because of their brown color -- but the casino would not cash them.
The $70,000 worth of chips are similar to those gambling maverick Bob Stupak attempted to cash at the Horseshoe in November.
A spokesman for the Horseshoe, citing advice from legal counsel, said it had no comment on Russo's suit.
