Brief: Prudential clients invest in LV firm

Prudential is a Newark, N.J.-based mutual insurance company and the investment is on behalf of its clients in separate accounts.
The acquisition, disclosed in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing, represents 5.44 percent of Sierra's common stock.
The SEC filing said the acquisition is not with the purpose of changing or influencing control of Las Vegas-based Sierra, a health-maintenance organization headquartered at 2724 N. Tenaya Way.
