Barbara Kleinhans, 53, of Gold Run, died at 12:45 a.m. Wednesday at Washoe Medical Center, police said.
The driver of the car, Jordan Eldridge, 37, also of Gold Run, was charged with driving under the influence causing death, as well as driving on a revoked license, having no insurance, and failure to stop for a red light.
Police said Eldridge failed to stop for the traffic signal at the intersection of Center and Eighth streets shortly before noon Tuesday.
The car he was driving was struck by a 1993 Ford utility vehicle driven by Ida Brinkley, 69, of Wadsworth.
Both drivers received only minor injuries, police said.
