A Las Vegas man is asking a court to appoint a receiver to manage Italia Caffe & Expresso Inc., alleging its president and treasurer mismanaged the company and allegedly diverted its assets and funds for their own use.
In a Clark County District Court suit, Teodorino Armeni, who said he owns 30 percent of Italia Caffe, alleged Alfredo and Daniela Baldieri failed to provide accounts of its creditor obligations and misrepresented facts regarding its revenues even though an affidavit to inspect the company's books was served on Nov. 10 to the defendants' resident agent Dolores Passaretti.
"Every one of the allegations is absolutely false. If the plaintiff would review his records, the requested information was waiting for him for approximately a year, but he never bothered to pick up the records," responded Italia Caffe's attorney Robert Murdock. "The complaint is legally deficient and we will be taking steps to have the complaint dismissed."
