Letter: Family Court rarely follows U.S. Constitution
Monday, Dec. 27, 1999 | 9:51 a.m.
In all seriousness, the Constitution of the United States is often, if not always, ignored in Family Court. The public is either too stupid to know or simply doesn't care. Not until one litigates in this court does one realize this fact and begin to question why. Unfortunately, then it is usually too late; they are caught in the abyss of unconstitutional perpetual litigation.
When any one person can decide the fate of a person's life, finances and children without permitting evidence or testimonies of litigants, children and witnesses, we all have a serious problem. It's called tyranny. The Constitution has been invalidated and our freedoms have been trampled. A jury of our peers should always judge us, never one man or woman.
Many have questioned the use of the gold fringe flag, stating that the use of said flag is precisely why the courts can disregard the Constitution. In response, they have been told the flag colors don't matter. Well, if that is so, why not change all the flags to a Title 4 U.S. flag and appease the quirky constitutionalists? That would be a good start. Old Glory is more true in red, white and blue. The next steps could be disbarring all unethical, manipulative divorce attorneys and employing some true child advocates and certified public accountants.
