Police investigate possible witnesses to killing

Reno police said a group had gathered at the intersection of Evans Avenue and Fifth Street Thursday evening when at least five shots rang out.

They say a man identified only as a black adult was shot twice in the chest and once in the head. He was pronounced dead at Washoe Medical Center.

Though wounded, the victim attempted to pursue the car but eventually collapsed along Evans Avenue.

Police don't think the shooting is gang related.
