Las Vegas aviation officials say they will lobby Air Canada for additional flights to Las Vegas from north of the border if the airline's pending merger with Canadian Airlines Corp. is completed as planned.
Montreal-based Air Canada is evaluating how it would increase service if it were to acquire Canadian Airlines' fleet. One of its proposals is to increase the frequency of flights between Toronto, Ontario, and Las Vegas. Air Canada currently operates round-trip flights Thursdays and Sundays on Boeing 767 jumbo jets between Las Vegas and the two cities.
