Interim chancellor finalist for Tennessee job

Tom Anderes, who has led the Nevada system since the summertime departure of Richard Jarvis, is competing with three others for the Tennessee job.

Anderes advised Nevada's university regents of his interest in the Tennessee position in a letter last week.

Several regents have encouraged Anderes to apply to be Nevada chancellor but the board has yet to set a timeline for filling that position.

Anderes said he likes his job in Nevada but wants to keep his options open. He has worked in Nevada for more than five years, previously serving as the system's chief financial officer.
