DETROIT -- Scott Snow on Friday was named the president of MGM Grand Detroit Casino.
Snow, who serves as senior vice president and chief financial officer for the casino, replaces Lyn Baxter. Baxter announced last month that he was resigning effective Dec. 31 to return to Las Vegas for personal reason.
Snow, former treasurer of MGM Grand Inc.'s New York-New York hotel-casino on the Las Vegas Strip, had been named interim president following Baxter's announcement.
MGM Grand Detroit opened July 29, the first of three temporary casinos chosen to operate in Detroit. The MotorCity Casino, a joint venture of the Atwater Casino Group and Mandalay Resort Group of Las Vegas, opened last week.
