Others were subsequently arrested and sent to prison or labor camps. Last month, four more of the founders were sentenced to terms of five to 11 years in prison. Wu Yilong, 32 years old, was given 11 years. One has to admire the courage of these men who have tried to advance democracy in China. It is tragic that our government, which went to war to secure more rights for the Kosovar Albanians, is silent about the deprivation of the rights of hundreds of millions of Chinese.
