Boy in hospital after accidental shooting

Washoe County sheriff's deputies said Trent Jones was accidentally shot when his 16-year-old cousin tried to unload a .22-caliber rifle in the cousin's bedroom.
The rifle discharged and Jones was struck in the head. He was taken to Washoe Medical Center in Reno, where he was listed in critical condition.
At least one adult was in the Cemetery Road house when the accident occurred.
An investigation is under way into the 12 p.m. accident.
