A prominent local architect is claiming he's owed more than $1 million by Galleria Associates, a limitied partnership that owns a 2.75-acre vacant parcel adjacent to Henderson's Galleria mall and is requesting the foreclosure of a mechanic's lien against this land parcel.
In a Clark County District Court lawsuit, Las Vegas architect Paul Steelman said Galleria Associates owes him $1.2 million for architectural work supplied during renovation work at the Sunset Road mall that ended last April.
Steelman filed a mechanic's lien against the partnership in June. In his lawsuit, Steelman asked the court to foreclose on the lien and sell the vacant parcel at auction in order to pay off the alleged debt.
Officials could not be reached for comment.
