Another coin truck targeted in robbery

At about 10:30 p.m. Sunday night Metro Police responded to what is becoming an all too common crime in the Las Vegas Valley -- a coin truck robbery.
The coin truck driver had just finished conducting his business at a bar near Washington Avenue and Rainbow Boulevard, police said.
On his way out of the business the driver was confronted by a man with a gun who tried to force the driver into the truck. The driver ran away from the gunman, who then got in the truck and drove off, police said.
The truck was recovered about a mile away from the bar, and no one was injured in the robbery.
This robbery is similar to several other reports of coin truck robberies in recent weeks.
In at least six robberies, the driver told police he was forced back into the coin truck by one or two gunman, driven to another location and robbed.
The robbers then fled in a waiting car driven by another man.
