Utah players to watch

* Mike Anderson, RB, 6-0, 232, Sr.: Was Mountain West Conference's preseason offensive player of the year. Finished second in MWC in rushing with 977 yards on 195 carries (5.0 avg.) and scored 10 touchdowns.

* John Frank, DE, 6-5, 277, Sr.: Edged BYU linebacker Rob Morris for Mountain West defensive player of the year honors. Led MWC in sacks (13) and tackles for loss (20 for 112 yards).

* T.D. Croshaw, QB, 6-2, 184, Jr.: Led MWC in pass efficiency (146.6%), completing 83 of 146 passes for 1,176 yards, 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Not bad for someone who went into fall practice No. 3 on the depth chart.

* Kautai Olevao, OLB, 6-2, 245, Jr.: First-team all-MWC performer. Came up big in Utes' 20-17 win over BYU, garnering eight tackles and an interception en route to MWC defensive player of the week honors.
