Silver Bandits end streak

Isaac Burton and J.R. Henderson combined for 49 points and the Las Vegas Silver Bandits (2-7) ended a seven-game losing streak with a 99-91 road victory over the New Mexico Slam (5-3) Thursday night in Albuquerque.
Burton had a game-high 25 points and six assists while Henderson poured in 24 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Rocky Walls had a double- double, scoring 15 points to go along with 12 rebounds. DeeAndre Hulett and Jeff Martin also scored in double figures with 15 and 12 respectively.
Las Vegas played New Mexico even after the first quarter, but trailed 54-44 at halftime. The Silver Bandits outscored the Slam 27-16 in the third quarter and 28-21 in the fourth quarter to pull out the win.
"This is a good win for our team. It has been a very long road trip and this win helps a great deal going into the weekend," said Silver Bandits head coach Rolland Todd. Las Vegas plays in San Diego tonight and Saturday night, with Saturday's game on Cox Metro 48 at 7 p.m.
