Fresno State Players to watch

* Billy Volek, QB, 6-2, 210, Sr.: Has thrown just one interception in last 38 quarters and only 12 in 954 career attempts, an NCAA all-time best percentage mark of 1.28. Only fourth Bulldog quarterback to throw more than 40 touchdowns and have 5,000 yards in his career.

* Rodney Wright, FL, 5-9, 175, Soph.: Caught 68 passes for 1,007 yards and seven touchdowns. Also an excellent kickoff return man (21.6 avg.). Ranked 30th nationally in all-purpose yardage (135.33 yards per game).

* Alan Harper, DT, 6-2, 275, Soph.: First team all-WAC performer who had 74 tackles, including 14 for loss. Also had four sacks.

* Tim Skipper, MLB, 5-7, 200, Jr.: Forget his size, this guy can play. Made some preseason All-American lists. Despite missing two games with a knee injury, finished second on the squad with 78 tackles.
