WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Krispy Kreme, which has sold melt-in-your-mouth glazed doughnuts for more than 60 years, now hopes the company will be a hot seller on Wall Street.
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. announced Thursday that it has filed paperwork with the Securities and Exchange Commission for an initial public offering of stock.
The company did not say how soon the shares will be offered. But in August, Krispy Kreme said it had a timetable to complete the offering early next year.
In Las Vegas, the company operates three stores, including two in casinos.
