Las Vegas area fishing report

LAKE MEAD: Despite the recent cold weather and strong winds, anglers have been finding fair action for striped bass at Hemenway Harbor and Las Vegas Wash. Unfortunately, the action for largemouth bass is not quite as good, as the fish have been unwilling to bite.
The Virgin Bowl was producing stripers for boaters last week, but the action was inconsistent. Most of the action in that area has come while trolling and drifting with anchovies.
Nevada Division of Wildlife creel clerks have checked anglers during the past two weeks who have caught crappie in the Overton Arm.
LAKE MOHAVE: Striped bass that range from one to three pounds were being caught over the weekend by boaters on the Arizona side of Cottonwood Basin. Striper fishing has also been fair for small fish in the narrows above Cottonwood.
