Two teen-age cousins have been sentenced to prison terms for the shooting death of a 35-year-old man.
Alans Hopkins, 18, was sentenced Tuesday to 25 years in prison for his guilty plea to second-degree murder in the death of Leonard Harvey of Las Vegas.
Anthony Lucas, 17, was sentenced to five years of probation. He pleaded guilty in October to conspiracy to commit murder without admitting guilt.
Police said the shooting arose from an earlier dispute between Lucas and a 28-year-old man who was standing with Harvey at the time of the May 26 incident.
Authorities said this man, who survived a gunshot to the shoulder, threatened Lucas. Lucas then met with his cousin and the two teens walked toward the Harvey's residence.
Authorities said Hopkins fired the shots that struck both of the men.
