Gasoline prices in Las Vegas rose 5 cents per gallon in one month and now stand at $1.47 per gallon, AAA Nevada reported.
AAA said its monthly survey found the Nevada state average is $1.46, up 3 cents in one month, and compare to a national average of $1.31, also up 3 cents.
Despite the increase in Las Vegas, the Reno average fell 1 cent to $1.49. Carson City rose 2 cents to $1.41.
"While gasoline prices typically fall this time of year, higher oil prices have overcome lower seasonal demand, pushing gas prices up across much of the country," said AAA Nevada spokesman Paul Moreno.
