Columnist Muriel Stevens: Wrapping up the shopping experience

Still running around shopping? Making many trips can be frustrating and seem never ending. Instead, set aside one day to wrap it all up. Yes, making many stops in one day is exhausting, but you'll put an end to the endless returning to stores day after day.
If you know what you want at a particular store, call ahead. Charge the purchase and ask to have it wrapped. Then all you have to do is pick it up. Make sure to get the name of the salesperson.
There's no easy way to shop, so take every shortcut you can.
This week I visited Neiman Marcus in the Fashion Show mall and found a number of small, well-priced gifts exclusive to their stores. The gifts ranged in price from $15 to $34. Most were gift boxed.
Here are some of my favorites:
A tall crystal, silver capped shaker is filled with dusting powder. Once the powder is gone it can be refilled or used as a muffineer for powdered sugar or latte sprinkles ($28).
