ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -- Gamblers lost $328.7 million in casinos last month, a slight increase from the same period last year, officials said Tuesday.
According to figures released by the state Casino Control Commission, the casinos won $232.9 million at slot machines and $95.8 million at table games in November, an increase of 0.4 percent.
Eight of the 12 casinos reported winning more money in November than they had in November 1998. Trump Plaza posted a 19.7 percent drop in revenue, due mainly to the October closing of Trump World's Fair, a separate casino whose winnings are included in Trump Plaza's for reporting purposes.
Following are the casinos, their revenue for November 1998, the same figure for November 1999 and the percentage difference:
* Claridge Casino Hotel: $12.4 million, $12.5 million, up. 0.6 percent.
