Launa Cheshier
Launa Cheshier, 88, of Henderson died Friday in a local care center. She was born Nov. 14, 1911, in Colgate, Okla. A former Las Vegas resident for 29 years and a Henderson resident for five years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Charlene McNeill of Henderson; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
John H. Clark
John H. Clark, 65, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 6, 1934, in Chicago. A resident for seven years, he was a retired sales manager for a packaging material company, an Army veteran, a member of Senior Friends Association and a MountainView Hospital volunteer.
He is survived by his wife, Janet A.; two daughters, Nannette Spreck-Dvorak of LaGrange, Ill., and Lynette Meza of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four sons, Brett John Clark of Niceville, Fla., Garrette Harvey Clark of Woodstock, Calif., and Richard Lee Perry Jr. and Eric Lavon Perry, both of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be in Kentucky.
Robert L. Collins
Robert L. Collins, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born July 16, 1923, in Kansas City, Mo. A resident for two months, he was a steel treater and a veteran.
He is survived by one son, Robert L. Collins Jr. of Detroit; and one daughter, Irma S. Knox of Las Vegas.
No local services are scheduled. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Alessandro 'Sandro' Dornini
Alessandro "Sandro" Dornini, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born June 21, 1931, in Milan, Italy. A resident for 40 years, he was a Tropicana hotel-casino dealer for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Jose; one daughter, Jane Karabachev of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.
Mass will be celebrated 5 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Burial will be private. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Mary 'Mayme' Fitzpatrick
Mary "Mayme" Fitzpatrick, 102, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. She was born May 19, 1897, in Ottawa, Ill. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by three sons, Wayne Fitzpatrick, Robert Fitzpatrick and John Fitzpatrick, all of Las Vegas; one daughter, Lois Weberski of Spring Valley, Ill.; 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled arrangements.
John H. Glenn
John H. Glenn, 46, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born April 25, 1953, in Pratt, Kan. A resident for 15 years, he was a director of auto technology at the Community College of Southern Nevada for four years.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Michele; one daughter, Tiffany Michelle Glenn, and three sons, Kristopher Eri Glenn, William Dale Glenn and Milo William Hicks, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Toni Lynn Faust; two brothers, Mike Glenn of Fresno, Calif., and Robert Glenn of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Maximo H. Gomez
Maximo H. Gomez, 91, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in North Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 18, 1908, in Guadalajara, Mexico. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired member of the Teamsters Union.
He is survived by four daughters, Mimi Cramer and Margaret Jasso, both of North Las Vegas, and Marcella Martinez and Cuca Estrada, both of Las Vegas; five sons, Joaquin Gomez, Ralph Gomez and Jose Gomez, all of North Las Vegas, Jesse Gomez of Las Vegas and Fidel Gomez of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; four brothers; one sister; 27 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
Leila Hamblen
Leila Hamblen, 81, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. She was born April 8, 1918, in Washington state. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Gary T. Hamblen of Lincoln, Calif.; one daughter, Linda L. Matlby of Maliomet, Ill.; one sister, Anne Severins of Gardnerville; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Duane Earl Harden
Duane Earl Harden, 56, of Las Vegas died Dec. 6 in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 11, 1943, in South Dakota. A resident for 24 years, he was an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by two daughters, Shella Rose Harden of California and Sherri Harden of Arizona; one son, Earl Harden of California; one brother, Billy Jim Harden, and one sister, Kathy Wainman, both of Oklahoma; and 11 grandchildren.

Ardeth Joan Holleman
Ardeth Joan Holleman, 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 26, 1930, in Chicago. A resident for 29 years, she was a retired pathology lab clerk and a member of the Culinary Union.
She is survived by one daughter, Arylen June Jones of Las Vegas; two sons, Tony Jones of Bamberg, Germany, and Aaron Holleman of Henderson; two sisters, Arylen Watlington of Chicago and Audrey June Taylor-Henry of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Sherry Ann Kahalehoe, 31, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 17, 1968, in Honolulu. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Rudy Mark Mohika Jr., and her parents, Reginald Joseph and Lenora Brown, all of Las Vegas.

Nancy A. Lacey, 82, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 4, 1917, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 23 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Beverley Lacey-Golmassian of Las Vegas; one son, Jerry Lacey of Dousman, Wis.; two brothers, John Yalch of Akron, Ohio, and Frank Yalch of Lighthouse Point, Fla.; two sisters, Helen Longazel of Boca Raton, Fla., and Susan Gondol of Pittsburgh; and four grandchildren.

Edith Ethel Lambert, 92, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born April 5, 1907, in West Virginia. A resident for 38 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, George Snider and Hartley Snider, both of Las Vegas; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Woodlawn Cemetery. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, handled arrangements.
Esther 'Tippi' Loiacono
Esther 'Tippi' Loiacono, 59, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born July 25, 1940, in Repton, Ala. A resident for three years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Westside Newcomers Club.
She is survived by her husband, Dominick; one son, Daniel Loiacono of Kansas City, Kan.; one daughter, Denise Loiacono Armstrong of Raleigh, N.C.; two brothers, Clayton Bartlett of Dacula, Ga., and Titus Bartlett of Millbrook, Ala.; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services were scheduled at noon today in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., handled arrangements.

Rose Lee Lovelace
Rose Lee Lovelace, 58, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born July 22, 1941, in Hannam, Korea. A resident for 15 years, she was a dealer at Harrah's hotel-casino for 15 years.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry H.; one son, Alexei R. Jirik, and one sister, Kyung Dan Lee, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, and two brothers, all of Korea; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Jones. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.
Virgil F. Luczak
Virgil F. Luczak, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. He was born Oct. 26, 1921, in Bay City, Mich. A resident for 5 1/2 years, he was a retired furniture upholsterer.
He is survived by one sister, Genevieve Harding of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Memorial Park.
Stasia Maciula
Stasia Maciula, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 27, 1920, in Passaic, N.J. A resident for one year, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley; two daughters, Kathleen O'Mahoney and Diane Dobkin, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Edward Mickens of Clifton, N.J.; and three grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Nobuko; and two daughters, Alma L. Minter of California and Bobbie M. Minter of Las Vegas.

Patsy Ruth Reeb
Patsy Ruth Reeb, 71, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 2, 1928, in Portland, Ore. A resident for 32 years, she was a homemaker, a member of American Legion Unit 174 in Willits, Calif., and a senior companion for Catholic Charities in Las Vegas.
She is survived by three sons, Ronald Paul Reeb of Pomona, Calif., Jeffrey Reeb of San Diego and Kevin Reeb of Las Vegas; one daughter, Patricia Buzzard of Willits; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Norma; two sons, Art of Sierra Madre, Calif., and Norm of West Covina, Calif.; one daughter, Kathleen Sneddon of California; one sister, Mary Cagle of Missouri; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He is survived by two daughters, Kelly Schaefer and Ally Schaefer, both of Las Vegas; and one sister, Gail A. Guajardo of Sarasota, Fla.

Hazel B. Shepard, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born July 26, 1913, in Minneapolis. A resident for three months, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Dennis Johnson of Las Vegas; one brother, Howard Grunewald of St. Petersburg, Fla.; one sister, Dorothy Schreiber of Minneapolis; and three grandchildren.

Joubert Stines, 66, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Oct. 1, 1933, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. A resident for seven years, he was a commerce law analyst in the aerospace industry and a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his fiancee, Marian Dubiel of Las Vegas; one daughter, Chantal Swanson, and two sons, Edwin Stines and Ralph Stines, all of California; and two grandchildren.
Mass was scheduled at noon today in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Entombment will be in Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
Martha 'Marti' Ward
Martha 'Marti' Ward, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born March 4, 1917, in Bowden, N.D. A resident for 34 years, she was a member of Women in God's Service for the International Four Square Missionaries.
She is survived by one son, Melvyn J. Robins of Maple Grove, Minn.; two daughters, Lynn C. Parreira of Merced, Calif., and Michelle Y. Yee of Las Vegas; one brother, Ed Bomersine of Wenatchee, Wash.; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Thomas Whalen
Thomas Whalen, 57, of Las Vegas died Dec. 2 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 14, 1942, in Iowa. A resident for many years, he was a carpet layer and an Army veteran.
He is survived by one son, Patrick Whalen of Anchorage, Alaska.

James E. White
James E. White, 73, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in North Las Vegas. He was born March 18, 1926, in Cleveland. A resident for four years, he was a retired aircraft electrician and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by two sisters, Emmie Page of Gary, Ind., and Teddie Davis of North Las Vegas; one brother, Johnny Moore of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
