Letter: Short trip on CAT can take forever

I live near Joe Brown Drive, and it is very convenient for me to get on a bus and do my errands. I told him I had to make a fast stop at the grocery store on Maryland Parkway.

Well, it was not as fast as I had assumed it would be; because I waited for an hour and a half for the bus.

I did a little shopping; I thought maybe that I would have no problem getting home. I was wrong, because I had to wait for an hour and a half once again. When the bus came it passed us up. We had to wait another 20 minutes for another bus to show up. When I got home, it took me three hours to make this fast trip to Albertsons. My son came in five minutes after I got home. He got here faster coming from Barstow than it took me to get home from Maryland Parkway.

The management keeps saying that we have the best transportation in the nation. A fantasy -- and they are increasing their fares. The service has been awful.
