Letter: Animals should be loved, appreciated
Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1999 | 9:12 a.m.
It's scary to think that people like that even exist. Their mentality must stem from ignorance and lack of heart. How very sad indeed. They should be pitied. Thank God they are not the norm, for true humans know that all life is precious.
It's bad enough that animals in danger of becoming extinct are still being killed for skins, gall bladders, sex organs, tusks and horns.
That's not enough! Now they are going after the dogs and cats. What's next? I shudder to think! I guess when greed is in the driver's seat anything goes.
I am so thankful to have been blessed with a love and appreciation for animals. I can't imagine feeling any other way.
