Man held in home robbery

A 30-year-old man, who was charged in October's robbery at Harrah's hotel-casino, was arrested in connection with Thursday's home invasion robbery where a man was stabbed and burned with a soldering iron.
Metro Police are still searching today for two other men who broke into a house in the 6600 block of Canyon Cove Way.
Draketonial Macon, 30, was charged with kidnapping with a deadly weapon, robbery and other related charges, police said.
Robbery unit Lt. John Alamshaw said the male resident of the home was acquainted with Macon, but would not say how the two knew each other.
Two men broke into the house early Thursday. A third suspect arrived a short time later. The male resident, his two children -- ages 3 and 11 -- and a female acquaintance were in the house, police said.
The robbers tied up the male resident, stabbed him and burned his back with a soldering iron over the next few hours, police said. They also ransacked the house and stole various items, police said.
The woman was originally thought to have been kidnapped by the robbers, but police determined she left the house unharmed and was later located, Alamshaw said.
The robbers left in the morning and the male resident was able to free himself and contact police. He was treated at University Medical Center for relatively minor injuries, police said. The two children in the house were not injured.
Macon was being held this morning in the Clark County Detention Center without bond. Macon was also arrested in October a few days after three gunmen rushed into Harrah's and demanded money from change personnel.
