Mikohn Gaming Corp. of Las Vegas said it completed a $1.8 million design contract at the City Tattersall's Club, a casino and entertainment complex in Sydney, Australia.
The contract called for Mikohn to completely design a room of the casino to a Mardi Gras theme. Toward that end, Mikohn installed 15 "animatronic" robot characters, which dance, move and speak to visitors.
"This state-of-the-art installation, which further expands our presence in Australia, provided us with our first opportunity to design a complete, three-dimensional venue theme," said David Thompson, Mikohn president and chief executive.
Mikohn sells a wide variety of products, including signage, gaming machines and table games. The company has a manufacturing and sales operation near Sydney.
