Las Vegas' Bob May continued his 1999 success story by shooting a 69 to share the first-round lead at the 54-hole Nevada Open Wednesday in Mesquite.
May, who recently earned his PGA Tour card for next season, is tied with Indianapolis resident Jeff Cook atop the leader board. They were followed by James Blair of Ogden, Utah; Eric Epperson of Plano, Texas; and Shaun Haberstroh of Rapid City, S.D., at 70.
The tournament is being played at the Casa Blanca and Oasis golf courses.
