UNLV's Center for Business and Economic Research said its Southern Nevada Index of Leading Economic indicators moved up in November by .99, almost a full percent.
"Indeed, the November increase is the third-largest increase on record," the UNLV center said.
The center said the increase was paced by increases in tourism numbers and gaming win.
The November forecast is based on statistics from September and is a forecast for the performance of the Las Vegas-area economy in March.
