Letter: What about parents’ rights?

It seems that the Library Board of Trustees is hiding under the excuse that we have a right to freedom of speech. What about the rights and responsibilities of parents to raise their children? Allowing minors to view pornography without my knowledge or permission takes my inalienable rights as a parent away.

It reminds me of when Hitler, in Germany, during his reign as dictator, took parental rights away from minors and taught them what he, the government, wanted them to be taught. Does our government have that right? I say no!
